Frequently asked questions

How do I install the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system and is it difficult to do so? Can I transfer the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system to a different vehicle or is it permanently installed?

We offer 4 product configurations:

2-wire battery fit Telematics device + SPD
OBD + SPD
2-wire battery fit Telematics device
SPD

You may transfer to a different vehicle but you will need to re-register the device in the system. There is no charge for re-registration. Any credits on the existing contract will be transferred to the new contract. However, device transfer fee may be applicable.

Will the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system work with any type of vehicle, or are there certain requirements?

Cobra Bridge can be installed in most cars.

Can I access the location data of my vehicle remotely, and if so, how?

Yes, location can be accessed via our user friendly mobile app (FleetJet) and web (ScienceJet).

Will the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system send me alerts if my vehicle is tampered with or stolen?

Yes, if Wired/OBD device is tampered, you will receive push and email alerts followed by a call from our SOC who will verify the situation with you. However, if your vehicle is stolen, you need to call our SOC to report theft.

How long does the battery life of the SPD last, and how do I replace it?

The battery life span of the SPD is up to 3 years depending on the frequency of the wake up time. However, you will need to replace the battery – 2x Lithium Battery/AA(Li-SOCL2) and it can be purchased via our online cart – https://cart.cse.com.my/ or at Cobra Auto, our authorized dealer in Glenmarie.

Will the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system interfere with other security systems or devices I may already have installed in my vehicle? Does it affect vehicle warranty?

Cobra Bridge is an independent system which will not interfere with any other security system or devices in the vehicle.

The devices are manufactured to the highest quality and are automotive certified. In the unlikely event that it is proven by the vehicle manufacturer that the device damages the electrical circuits or any other parts of the vehicle, CSE will fully bear the cost of repair and/or the warranty claims.

What kind of customer support is available for the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system, and how can I get in touch with them if I need help?

Apart from proactive theft management, stolen vehicle recovery and automatic collision response, our 24/7 SOC also provides helpdesk and customer service support. Our SOC can be contacted at +603 5888 0000.

Will it still work if my vehicle is parked underground or in a garage?

Unfortunately, the system will not work when there is no GPS/GSM network e.g. in a deep underground car park. However, the last entry location will be recorded and tracking will resume upon exit.

How do I know if the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system is working properly and are there any self-diagnostic features or tools available?

There will be a daily health check on the devices and if any of the devices are not working, you will receive an email & push notification.

Is my personal information and data secure with the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system, and are there any privacy concerns I should be aware of?

We are an ISO 27001 certified company and strictly conform to the PDPA Act 2010.

How long is the warranty for the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system, and what does it cover?

2 years from the date of first service activation covering manufacturing defects.

Are there any special maintenance or upkeep requirements for the Cobra Bridge vehicle security system?

Our system do not require any special maintenance or upkeep except for battery replacement for the SPD.
